Designer Emily Factor was born into an artistic dynasty. The youngest of seven great grand children to Max Factor, Emily has spent many years cultivating her own creative vision and voice.

 Earning her BA in 2008 from the prestigious Central Saint Martins College in London, as well as studying fine art at the California College of the Arts & FIDM, Factor also held an apprenticeship with iconic designer Zandra Rhodes before launching her namesake collection in 2010.

 Growing in up in coastal California and Santa Fe, Emily’s work is inspired by the natural and super-natural worlds. These effects can be found in her original textiles, all of which are her photographs and paintings that she digitally prints on natural fibers.

Encompassing a great passion for preservation, Emily utilizes ethical practice which is catered specifically to each unique garment. Her methods range from recycled elements, low impact textile treatments, a zero tolerance for animal products, and local handcrafted garment manufacturing.
